Christmas Cookie Exchange

My church hosted their annual Christmas cookie exchange this past Sunday evening.  Not only were there treats to be eaten, but there was also a true entertainment treat…my dear friend, Dorcas, from the Dorcas House and her two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Abigail, sang for us!!!  The ballroom was beautifully decorated, eggnog was served with and without the “nog,” and delicious sweets were everywhere!  My wonderful friend, Alecia, and Elizabeth’s best friend, Haven, joined us for the evening of festivities…

We had our Sunday pizza making night…Haven was a great help!

Their efforts turned out nicely for a quick and easy dinner!

And guess who lost a tooth!!!  Thanks to the carrots!

There was a party in the ballroom the night prior, so the decorations were extra special!

Lots of goodies!

Of course, there was baklava!

Yes, that’s Daniel on YiaYia’s phone!

Kids having fun…and yes, Daniel still on the phone!

Waiting for the entertainment!

Meet Dorcas, Elizabeth, and Abigail!  Three of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard in my life!  During their entire concert performance, I felt as if I was the only one in the ballroom!  AMAZING!  These ladies are truly using their God given talents!

Dorcas sang “O Holy Night” for my friend, Alecia!  Alecia heard Dorcas sing this song in the 8th grade!  It made such an impact on Alecia as well as Dorcas.  It was Dorcas’s first time to sing in public (singing came naturally in her family all the time), and Alecia still remembers that moment!  To recapture the moment Sunday evening was truly a blessing!  And what a small world this truly is…love stories like this one!

Enjoy the day!

P.S.  Wishing my wonderful husband a very Happy Anniversary!  I love you!!!
